Hagley, Alison (1961– )

English soprano. She studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London and sang in Rodelinda at Aldeburgh. At the Camden Festival in 1986 she performed in Mozart's La finta giardiniera/The Pretended Garden-girl. She has sung at Glyndebourne since 1988, as Nannetta and Papagena, and she was Susanna in La Nozze di Figaro/The Marriage of Figaro at the opening of the new auditorium in 1994. She appeared with the English National Opera Ensemble 1991–92, as Lauretta, Gretel, and Nannetta. She sang an appealing Mélisande under Boulez for the Welsh National Opera in 1992.
