Hailsham, Douglas McGarel Hogg, 1st Viscount and Baron (1872–1950)

British lawyer and Conservative politician. He was Attorney General 1922–24 and 1924–28, and was Lord Chancellor 1928–29 and again 1935–38.

He was Conservative member of Parliament for Marylebone 1922–28. He succeeded Lord Halifax as Lord President (a cabinet post) in 1938, but resigned in November that year. He was the father of the politician Quintin Hogg.
