Hall, Richard Leland

Hall, Richard Leland (1923- )

US food scientist. In 1950 he joined McCormack & Co., Inc, as director of research, in charge of investigating the flavor and odor constituents of spices. In 1965 he was made vice-president of research and development and in 1975 vice-president of science and technology. In 1988 he retired to become a consultant. He was active in the International Union of Food Science and Technology of which he was president (1983-87). Hall was born in Roseland, Nebraska.
