Halliwell, Geri (1972– )

English pop singer, formerly ‘Ginger Spice’ of the 1990s pop sensation the Spice Girls. She left the group in 1998 to pursue a solo career, releasing the album Schizophonic, featuring the hit single ‘Look at Me’, in 1999. She released the album Scream If You Wanna Go Faster in 2001.

Halliwell became a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in a joint campaign with the Marie Stopes International family planning agency in 1998.
