Ham Lake

City in Anoka County, southeastern Minnesota, 24 km/15 mi north of Minneapolis; population (1990) 8,900. An outer suburb of the Twin Cities (Minneapolis–St Paul), it has seen much residential growth in recent years. Carlos Avery Wildlife Area lies 8 km/5 mi to the east.
