hamadryad

Large and poisonous cobra found from India to China and the Philippines, sometimes reaching a length of 5 m/16 ft. It is one of the longest and most venomous of snakes, and is yellow with black crossbands.

The hamadryad Ophiophagus hannah is in family Elapidae, suborder Serpentes, order Squamata, class Reptilia.
