Harbledown

Village just west of Canterbury, Kent, England; population (2001) 2,600. Bigbury hill-fort, a nearby Celtic construction by the Belgae, was the forerunner of Durovernum (Canterbury).

Archbishop Lanfranc founded the leper hospital of St Nicholas with a nearby church here in 1084, on the edge of Blean Wood.
