Harker, Alfred (1859–1939)

British petrologist. His main area of research was in the rocks of the Inner Hebrides. Among his many honours were the Murchison Medal of the Geological Society, the Wollaston Medal, and Fellowship of the Royal Society. He was educated at Oxford University, where he taught for 61 years.
