Harlow, Jean (1911–1937)
US film actor. She was the original ‘platinum blonde’ and the wisecracking sex symbol of the 1930s. Her films include Hell's Angels (1930), Red Dust (1932), Platinum Blonde (1932), Dinner at Eight (1933), China Seas (1935), and Saratoga (1937), during the filming of which she died (her part was completed by a double).
