Harper, Heather Mary (1930– )

Northern Irish soprano. She has sung throughout the world on concert platforms, in opera houses, and in recording studios, and has taken leading roles at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, in London, England, at the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and at Bayreuth, Germany.

Harper was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and studied at Trinity College of Music, London. She was awarded the CBE in 1965.
