Harrhy, Eiddwen (1949– )

Welsh soprano. She sang Despina at the Royal Manchester College of Music in 1970, and appeared professionally from 1974 as Alcina with the Handel Opera and in The Ring at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London. At the London Coliseum she sang Adèle (1977) and with the Kent Opera, she sang Pamina and the Taurian Iphigénie. At the 1979 Glyndebourne Festival she sang Diana in La Fedeltà premiata. Her other roles include Donna Anna, Butterfly (at the Coliseum in 1984) and Berg's Marie (with the Welsh National Opera in 1986). She sang in the first performance of David Blake's The Plumber's Gift with the English National Opera Ensemble in 1989.
