Harrison, Julius (1885–1963)

English conductor and composer. He studied under Bantock at the Midland Institute in Birmingham, and conducted opera under Beecham's management and with the British National Opera Company. From 1930 to 1940 he was musical director at Hastings.

Mass for solo voices, chorus, and orchestra; Requiem Mass; suite Worcestershire Pieces for orchestra; Troubadour Suite for strings, harp, and two horns; string quartet Widdicombe Fair and other chamber music; viola and piano sonata; piano works, instrumental pieces; songs.
