Haslemere

Town in Surrey, England, 20 km/12 mi southwest of Guildford; population (2001) 10,400. Dolmetsch musical instruments are made here, and a festival of early music is held each July.

Nearby is Hindhead heathland area. Haslemere has a museum of the environment and history of the local area.
