Hass, Sabine (1949– )

German soprano. She studied in Berlin and Munich and sang at the Stuttgart Opera from 1970. She performed with the State Operas of Munich and Vienna in 1976, as Senta and Ariadne, and at Bregenz in 1977 as Reiza in Oberon. She sang Elsa at La Scala, Milan, in 1983 and returned to Munich in 1983 and 1988, as Isabella in Wagner's Liebesverbot and as Strauss's Danae. In the 1985–86 season she performed at the New York Metropolitan Opera House as Senta and Elsa. Her other roles include Sieglinde with the Deutsche Oper Berlin, and Isolde, which she sang at Basel in 1990.
