Hastings-on-Hudson

Village within Greenburgh town, in Westchester County, southeastern New York State; population (1990) 8,000. Hastings-on-Hudson stands on the Hudson River opposite the Palisades. It is a primarily residential suburb of New York City, with chemical and other industries located along the river.
