Haughton, William

Haughton, William (c. 1575–1605)

English dramatist. He collaborated with Henry Chettle and Thomas Dekker on many plays, but was sole author of the popular comedy Englishmen for my Money about 1598, and possibly of Grim the Collier of Croyden about 1600. He is also supposed to have written part of The Pleasant Comodie of Patient Grissill (1603).
