| 18 Sexual Inversion by Havelock Ellis and John Addington Symonds, Amo Press Havelock Ellis "apparently" had a much more "charitable approach" than other doctors. It was an obscure Hungarian physician, Karoly Benkert, who first coined and used ``homosexuality'' in 1869 to express this belief and it was though Havelock Ellis, an English sexologist of the late 19th century, that it came into English. |
