Haye, Helen

Haye, Helen (1874–1957)

British actor, born in India. She was on the stage for 60 years and had some of her greatest successes in later life, particularly as the Dowager Lady Monchensey in T S Eliot's verse drama The Family Reunion (1939) and the dowager empress of Russia in Anastasia (1953).

She taught for many years at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
