The Health Service Journal survey, which was carried out anonymously, involved 401 managers and health workers. Only a handful of primary care trusts (PCTs) - including Darlington - were passing on funds in line with the Department of Health's "fair shares" guidelines for equitable distribution, according to figures released to the Health Service Journal under freedom of information legislation. It comes as the Health Service Journal claimed today that 92 hospital trusts could be culled across the country as a result of the changes. |
