Hearst, Patty (Patricia Campbell) (1955– )

US socialite. A granddaughter of the newspaper tycoon William Randolph Hearst, she was kidnapped 1974 by an urban guerrilla group, the Symbionese Liberation Army. She joined her captors in a bank robbery, was sought, tried, convicted, and imprisoned 1976–79.

She has since married and become active in charities and fundraising.
