Heber Springs

City and seat of Cleburne County, in north-central Arkansas; population (1990) 5,600. Heber Springs is located on Greers Ferry Lake, in the Ozark Plateau, 89 km/55 mi north-northeast of Little Rock. The city was founded in 1881, and has long been known for its mineral springs. It is a popular tourist destination, and lies in a area of forestry and stone quarrying.
