Hedon

Town in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, 8 km/5 mi east of Hull; population (2001) 6,300. There is light engineering here. Hedon is one of the oldest boroughs in England, possessing a civic mace that dates from the reign of Henry V (1387–1422).

The parish church of St Augustine of Hippo at Hedon contains architectural features of the 13th–16th centuries.
