Heiller, Anton (1923–1979)

Austrian composer and organist. After studying organ and composition privately, he entered the Vienna Conservatory 1941–42. In 1945 he was appointed professor of organ at the Vienna Academy of Music, and in 1952 he won first prize at an international organ competition in Haarlem, Holland.

Works

Symphonie Nordique; Psalmen-Kantate; Te Deum; five Masses; Tentatio Jesu for soloists, chorus, and two pianos (1952); toccata for two pianos; much organ music.
