Henrietta

Henrietta (1644–1670)

Daughter of Charles I of England, and wife of the Duke of Orleans, brother of Louis XIV. She was successful in persuading her brother, Charles II, into signing the Treaty of Dover with France in 1670. On her return to France she died suddenly, claiming that she had been poisoned. Henrietta was born in Exeter, England.
