Henry of Huntingdon

Henry of Huntingdon (c. 1080-1155)

English historian. He became archdeacon of Huntingdon about 1110. His Historia Anglorum covers the period of English history from Julius Caesar until the accession of Henry II and is remarkable for his Latin translations of popular legendary songs otherwise unrecorded.

He visited Rome 1139.
