Hessle

Town in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, just to the east of the north end of the Humber Bridge; population (2001) 14,800. Hessle has light engineering and other industries. There is an ancient church in the town.

The Humber Bridge Country Park, created in an old chalk pit at the northern end of the Humber Bridge, is to the west of the town.
