Heuberger, Richard (Franz Josef) (1850–1914)

Austrian music critic and composer. He studied engineering at first, but at the age of 26 devoted himself to music, becoming a choral conductor in 1878 and a critic in 1881. His best-known work is Der Opernball/Ball at the Opera House (1898).
