Hewlett

Unincorporated village within Hempstead town, Nassau County, in southeastern New York State; population (1990) 6,600. Situated in the southwest of Long Island, Hewlett lies immediately to the east of the borough of Queens and 11 km/7 mi west of Freeport. It is essentially a residential suburb, one of the ‘Five Towns’.
