Himba

Member of a southwest African nomadic herding people of the Hereo group. Some 10,000 Himba live on the Namibian side of the Cunene River and range over an area more than three times the size of Wales. Their traditional way of life is threatened by the projected damming of Epupa Falls.

The researchers found that Western college students and members of the semi-nomadic Himba tribe of northwestern Namibia, a rural area bordering Angola, both showed greater sensitivity to non-accidental properties.
In another scene a mother and her two daughters from another family who are spending time with a different tribe in Namibia, the Himba, were seen being told that female members of the tribe did not have the right to bathe.
A case displays a Ntwana back wrap, or apron, from South Africa made with goatskin, glass beads, and metal beads, as well as several Himba works from Namibia.
