Hippodamus (lived 5th century BC)
| Greek architect and town planner from Miletus. He was responsible for laying out the Athenian port of Peiraias. His reputation rests on the ‘Hippodamian’ design of criss-crossed streets. He also laid out the city of Rhodes. |
