Hiratsuka, Raicho (1886–1971)
| Japanese pioneer of the women's movement. Hiratsuka was a founder of the Bluestocking Society (Seitosha) in 1911 and of the New Women's Association (Shin Fujin Kyokai) in 1920. After World War II she was president of the Federation of Japanese Women's Societies (Nihon Fujin Dantai Rengokai). |
