His, Wilhelm (1863-1934)

Swiss physician. He studied the impulse conduction system of the heart, part of which (the nerve fibres connecting atria with ventricles) is known as the Bundle of His. He was professor of internal medicine at the University of Berlin in Germany 1907-26.

His was the son of the Swiss anatomist and embryologist of the same name and born in Basel, Switzerland.
