Hodonín

Town of southern Moravia, in the Czech Republic, on the River Morava, 50 km/31 mi southeast of Brno; population (1991) 39,700. It is the centre of a district that produces oil, gas, lignite, and wine. Industries include sugar refining and glassmaking. There is a Renaissance castle and a baroque church.

The Czech nationalist politician Tomáš Masaryk was born in Hodonín.

Whatever her initial links to the very early international rehabilitation efforts in nearby Elyria, Greve's first overseas experience dates from 1921, when at the age of 27, she left Ohio to become the director of the Red Cross Child Health Center in Hodonin, Czechoslovakia (Binere: 1957a; Filmer:1983).
It connects to the D1 motorway from Prague and R55 motorway that will lead south to the town of Hodonin.
