Holbeach

Market town in Lincolnshire, England, 13 km/8 mi east of Spalding; population (2001) 10,300. An ancient town, it once stood on the shore of the Wash, but now lies 10 km/6 mi inland. Holbeach was the home of the antiquarian William Stukeley.
