Holford, William Graham, Baron Holford (1907-1975)

British architect, born in South Africa. A leading architect/planner of his generation, he was responsible for much post-war redevelopment, including the plan for the City of London (with Charles Holden) and the precinct for St Paul's Cathedral, London (1955-56). He was knighted in 1953 and made a baron in 1965.
