Holkham Hall

House in Norfolk, England, 13 km/8 mi north of Fakenham. One of the masterpieces of the Palladian style, it was designed by William Kent, advised by Richard Burlington, and built between 1734 and 1759. Capability Brown laid out the grounds in 1762.

Its grey brick exterior contrasts with a palatial interior, the chief feature of which is its pillared, apsidal entrance hall and staircase.

Thomas William Coke carried out his agricultural experiments at Holkham. It is the seat of the Earls of Leicester.
