Hollies, The

English pop and rock group, formed in 1962, whose songs include the UK number one hit ‘I'm Alive’ (1965), ‘He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother’ (1969), and ‘The Air That I Breathe’ (1974). Among their most accomplished albums are In the Hollies Style (1964) and Butterfly (1967). The 1993 collection The Hollies 30th Anniversary Anthology gathers material from all phases of the group's career.
