Holliston

Town in Middlesex County, eastern Massachusetts, 8 km/5 mi south of Framingham; population (1998 est) 13,600. Founded in 1659 and incorporated in 1724, it is a traditionally agricultural community that is becoming increasingly suburban.

It is named after Thomas Hollis of London, England, a benefactor of Harvard University.
