HollywoodDistrict in the city of Los Angeles, California; the centre of the US film industry from 1911, when the first film studio was established on Sunset Boulevard. It is the home of film studios such as Twentieth Century Fox, MGM, Paramount, Columbia Pictures, United Artists, Disney, and Warner Bros.
