Holmes, Donald Fletcher

Holmes, Donald Fletcher (1910–1980)

US chemist and inventor. He spent his entire career with E I du Pont de Nemours working in the company's textile divisions, where, with William E Hanford, he developed polyurethane in 1942.

Born in Woodbury, New Jersey, he was educated at Amherst College and the University of Illinois.
