Holst, Imogen (1907–1984)

English pianist and composer, daughter of Gustav Holst. After studying with her father and at the Royal College of Music in London, she taught music at several schools. She also did much work for the English Folk Dance Society and wrote books on Holst, Henry Purcell, and Benjamin Britten.

Works

overture for orchestra, piano pieces, folk-song arrangements, string quintet (1981).
