| As a nursing home worker, I had an incredible learning experience when I actually became a resident after a devastating car accident. The warm space buzzed with urban energy and conversations, including one between a developmentally disabled teen-ager and a grandmotherly nursing home worker I recognized as regulars. The rules of worker's comp are probably the same whether an accident happens at home or at work, he says--but the issue gets complicated when the home worker can't clearly demonstrate that he or she was on the job when the injury occurred. |
