Horigome, Yuzuko (1957– )

Japanese violinist. She won the Queen Elizabeth of the Belgians Competition in 1980 and made her London debut in 1983, with the London Symphony Orchestra under Abbado. Her US debut was at Tanglewood in 1982, with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and she has also played in concerts with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra. She toured Europe and Japan with the Salzburg Camerata in 1988. She appeared in the Shostakovich film Testimony and has recorded Bach's solo violin works.
