Hosler, Charles

Hosler, Charles (Luther, Jr) (1924– )

US meteorologist and university administrator. He spent his entire academic career at Pennsylvania State University, joining the faculty in 1948 and becoming a full professor in 1958. In 1985 he became senior vice-president for research and dean of the graduate school, retiring in 1992. His meteorological research focused on cloud physics and dynamics for the purpose of weather modification.

He was born in Honey Brook, Pennsylvania.
