Hucknall

Town in Nottinghamshire, England, 13 km/9 mi northwest of Nottingham; population (2001) 29,200. It was once dominated by extensive coal mines.

The Romantic poet Lord Byron, whose family home, Newstead Abbey, is nearby, was buried in Hucknall parish church after his body had been brought back from Greece.
