Huleh

    0.01 sec.

Huleh

Valley and nature reserve in northern Israel, between the Sea of Galilee and the Golan Heights. Formerly a vast swampland, it was drained in the 1950s, and the remaining marshland and nature reserve is an important sanctuary for migrating birds.

In biblical times the lake here was known as the Waters of Merom.
