Hulman, Tony (Anton, Jr) (1901-1977)

US motor-racing executive. In 1945 he purchased the Indianapolis 500 Speedway, and, after extensive renovations to the facility, he promoted the annual 500 mile race into the largest sporting event in the world.

He was born in Terre Haute, Indiana.
