Humberside

Former county of northeast England, created in 1974 out of north Lincolnshire and parts of the East and West Ridings of Yorkshire. It was abolished in 1996 when the unitary authorities of East Riding of Yorkshire, Kingston upon Hull, North East Lincolnshire, and North Lincolnshire were created.
