Hume, Tobias (c. 1569-1645)

English viola da gamba player and composer. He wrote dances for the viola da gamba, songs to the lute, and other pieces, published in Musicall Humours and Poeticall Musicke (1607).

He was an army captain and towards the end of his life a pensioner in the Charterhouse.
