Humewood Castle

Large, imposing Victorian house in the style of a castle, in County Wicklow, Republic of Ireland. It was built in 1867 for the member of Parliament W W F Hume Dick, and designed by William White. The interior contains a large stone staircase lit by one of the finest stained-glass windows in Ireland, and there are many examples of the original woodwork by White. The house remains in the ownership of the Hume family.
